You question is a little vague.  The term "download" is a generic term which refers to transfering a digital music file from an internet site to your own home computer hard drive.  The music file might be purchased from many sources such as Amazon.com or iTunes among others in the form of low resolution MP3 files or it might be purchased from a provider of high resolution music files such as HDTracks or Linn.  There are also music sites that allow you to rent music for real time streaming of their large music catalog.  These sites operate via subscription such as Spotify or Pandora.  THen there are sites that provide free streaming such as Last.fm.  And finally, there are music sharing sites and bootleg sites that engage in nearly illegal or fully illegal music downloading.   And I'm just scratching the surface here.  ANy chance this answer helped?

I think there are web sites that "transmit" 24bit material. If you like the selections. My stuff  is all on 16 bit. Thanks Bryston for my cd_1   :rotflmao:

Any thing over 16/44.1 which is cd quality is considered hi rez. You will find 24 bit 44.1 kHz FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec) files on the Beatles USB stick. These files are higher quality than MP3 and even higher quality than CD. From HD Tracks "Finally, audiophiles take note. HDtracks offers select titles in ultra-high resolution 96khz/24bit files. This is true DVD-audio sound quality for music lovers that demand the very best!"

I hope that helps. Just Google   "high rez downloads:
