Denzel Washington does a good job keeping this movie on track but the real star is a half mile long freight train barreling toward Stanton, Pennsylvania at 70 mph. Just like the freight train, once this film gets up to speed nothing stops it. This a terrific action film, sit back and enjoy the ride.

How funny, I just finished watching this one about an hour ago and I came here to find the thread so I could share my thoughts....good timing on starting it up  :thumb:

This was the first movie I've watched in a while where I don't think I moved at all from the position I was sitting in until the movie was over. I was thankful they stuck to the story and the action and didn't water it down with much of the drama that was going on with Will's marriage. Kinda cool this was sort of based on a real life incident, too....very enjoyable flick!

Gotta love the way that train hugged the track down the stretch,,,, now that was some ride.  8)  I saw this flick in the theatre and really enjoyed it. 3.5 out of 5 stars and I'll watch it again when it shows up on HBO.  :thumb:

In the hands of lesser professionals this would have been a stinker. Even though I suspected what was coming I was still fully engaged and entertained.

My wife and I watched this one and both of us enjoyed it.  I agree with the previous posters that the story was about the train and actions to stop it.  Eye opening and it was based on a true story.  My rating 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Also agree with the positive reviews on this.  On paper it seems hard to comprehend that an out of control train can get your attention for the length of a movie, but it does.  The sub-plots/human elements are cleverly woven in and support the main plot without detracting from it.  I give it a 3.5 also......
