The aluminum case measures 12"(W) x 10"(D) x 4"(T). The T8 was introduced in July of 2005. V1 was available only in the small chassis. Base price: $949, phono option $249. Complete with six sets of line level inputs, two sets tape outputs, two sets audio outputs, hybrid buffered headphone amplifier, output mute circuit protection. Circuits use a high speed analog high voltage regulator for the B+ supplies and plus and minus 12V regulated supplies for the tube heaters and headphone buffers. The line section uses two 12AT7 tubes and the phono section uses two 12AXT tubes. The tube compliment includes 2 Telefunken ECC801s/12AT7A and 2 Mullard 12AX7A Master 10M Series tubes. Yes that’s right, you get an amazing sounding Van Alstine T8SL fitted with the holy grail of tubes. And this synergistic combo blows away many much more costly preamps.
