In addition to these fine suggestions,

40 year old version
Knocked up
Dodgeball
The Wedding Crashers

You and AJZEPP should check out the movie "Sex Drive."  I didn't have high hopes for that one but ended up laughing and laughing throughout the whole thing.  The director's cut version goes way, WAY over the line of bad taste...so that's the one I recommend!   :thumb:

Any Buster Keaton...

+1 for Life of Brian & Meaning of Life (as much as they hated making the movie, I think it's their best).

Animal House, Caddy Shack, and 1941.

Super Troopers (for me, the funniest movie since Caddy Shack).

And a new(ish) one: Hot Tub Time Machine. The first thing I've seen since Super Troopers that makes me laugh as much.

+1! on Super Troopers!  I was disappointed when 1941 hit the theaters back in the day.  Aside from trying to get the big table radio in the sub, far fewer laughs than I expected.

"Young Doctors in Love", an "Airplane"-style spoof of hospitals, has some great moments.

I've never heard of that movie.  I'll add it to my Netflix queue.  Right now, my wife keeps ordering all of these heavy movies, which have their place, but we need to get a supply of stupid movies for those nights we can't think.

+1 for Airplane, Harold & Maude, Blazing Saddles, Marx Bros, & Cat Ballou. Another good (not great) western comedy is The Great Scout & Cathouse Thursday. Lee Marvin, with Kay Lentz, Oliver Reed, & Robert Culp.

Relatively recent releases, I'd say Shaun of the Dead was a hoot.

Jumpin' Jeebus On A Pogo Stick... I forgot one of my all-time favorites: Shakes The Clown. You'll have to watch it a couple of times just to get all the throw-away lines.

+1 on The Thin Man. I have the box set, and didn't think to mention the series. I guess I think of them as mysteries first, and comedies second.

Dr. Strangelove, which has several of Peter Sellers' best roles.  A black comedy, but wickedly funny.
