Thanks guys!!  I'm ordering The Tube DAC next week, and I have a Tributaries digital to start. After a week or so of breakin, I'll try my HT Platinum digital that I use for CD recording. At that time I'll order the Stereovox. Hard to beat the 30 day trial period. Thanks for the offer, Lone Wolf. If you had an interest in selling the Stereovox, E me, and I'll try yours. Thanks again for your advice.

I've been using the dackit for awhile, and here's a list of cables I've used and prefer over the HDXV:
1) USB cord-solder on some RCAs
2) Magnetwire-same as above
3) 47 Labs' OTAs-again
4) Mapleshade something

I'm going with the Boulder basic digital with the new WBT Nextgen connectors, and will also buy a Stereovox from a member if he decides to sell. If I have both, I'll post a sort of comparison.

MikeCTM2,
I have a demo unit of ack! dACK coming in, hopefully by the end of April.  I am also in the process of talking with Scott to 'rent' a tubedac+ w/3xAC to demo.  Scott has a new trick to invert the phase digitally, so that the final output phase is not inverted like his other dac's.  However, this implmentataion done directly at the PCB-level probably won't take place until a couple months later.  Due to Scott's busy schedule, I am yet to hear from him again.   Hopefully, I can arrange to demo both units in the same period to see which one synergizes the best with my system.

p.s. Please PM me directly as I don't have much time nowadays to follow the thread.  Good luck with your search!

I just a/b'ed the nixon tubedac+ and the Ack! on a VERY outstanding system.....they are both excellent units, esp. for the $! ,but even w/o the $ consideration, they bested a couple very high dollar units. I, personally, prefered the Ack! by a wide margin. That battery power supply is a marvel. The blackest backround you'll ever (not) hear. Makes everything three dimensional. If you can live w/ the care and feeding nature of the beast, get it.
Oh, any digital cable by Mapleshade is super and if you can afford it, get the Omega Micro stuff.
