The Adjustment Bureau
« on: 5 Mar 2011, 03:06 am »
An excellent movie imho,,, totally not what I had expected. Matt Damon continues shining bright and has become a favorite actor of mine. His forbidden love, Emily Blunt, is simply captivating and it's the chemistry between the 2 that really makes this movie click.

In it's 1st opening day, Rotten Tomatoes already has the flick rated favorably at 69% with the critics, one of the few movies showing that even has been rated favorably of late. Without giving up much of the underlining plot, I will only say this is a sci-fi flick with religous undertones and one of the big reasons for it's appeal for me. Even tho the storyline is predictable, it's neverless both moving & entertaining and left me with a bit of wet-eye at the end.    8)

3.5 out of 5 stars and highly recommended for couples.  :thumb:

The only Damon film I haven't liked recently was Green Zone, mainly because it felt as if I was being preached to about political issues and I can't stand that. That being said, like Robin, I consider him one of my favorite actors and I'm really looking forward to checking this one out  :thumb:

Based off of a Philip K. Dick short story, so worth seeing, even if it's just another dystopic sci-fi movie.  Though probably can't compare to Blade Runner (which was terrific despite not having much in common w/ Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?) and one of favs, A Scanner Darkly (which was really trippy, but stayed true to the storyline at least).

I watched "The Adjustment Bureau" earlier this evening and I was pleasantly surprised that it was much better than I anticipated based on the USA Today Review.  Matt Damon was in top form and I was well entertained.  My rating 3.5 out of 5 stars.

I watched the movie early this week (with a girlfriend ) and was pleasantly surprised.  The only issue I had was the ending, it was a bit too flat for my liking and would have been better to finish with a stronger ending.  Because of this I would give it a 3.
