Ok,  I must really need to get rid of some speakers, cause I passed up a pair of Bose 901 II at the Goodwill Glen Carbon.  They need some wood stain and they come with the stands.  Some rust on those and would need to be sanded and painted.  Either they are $20 for the pair or $20 each.  Either way a great buy.  The Series II should be the non foam surround woofers, which means you wouldn't necessarily have to re-foam them.  They were there just before 7:00pm this evening. 03-01-11.

I didn't buy them.  This was to inform so one of us could get them.

I shop various GW and SA in the metro east.  Pretty much all of them except for the Godfrey one.  I do hit that one occasionally.

I haven't been to many Goodwill's on the e. side, but there's a huge one in Fairview heights, across from the Mall.

Bo,  I wouldn't have bought the Bose anyway, I'm not 19 anymore. At one time I craved them, oh well...

have you ever been to the Alton auction they hold every friday night?  I've been several times, have had some wacky hifi stuff from time to time.

Not much there.  The record bin sometimes has some goodies sometimes (Shaded Dog classics somebody overlooked), but otherwise look elsewhere.

NAD receiver, NAD CD player, Marantz receivers *vintage*, Pioneer HPM-100's, Mission speaker, Dual turntable, JBL speakers, Klipsch speakers, Infinity speakers, Altec Lansing speakers, lots of cd's, lp's, ld's, dvd's, hd dvd's, couple of bd's....all from GW and SA.  Now you see why I have a full unfinished basement. :)  I really need to sale alot of items.  Would love to bring a few hundred lp's and 30 cd's to sell.  I have asked before what is a good barometer to price them with.  Ebay/GEMM/Discogs?

That's insane. Seems like a lot of fun for such a small outlay of cash.
I wish I had the room.  :?
