Just picked up a Sansui TU-9900!

Just picked up one of these for a trade for some tubes. Pretty big and heavy unit! Will be interesting to see how it does sound wise against my Scott 350B. The Sansui is suppose to be a great DX'er so that will be fun to try out also...

Do tell! I have been considering looking for a AU717 for some time. Sansui was the first brand I ever owned and has always remained a favorite. Let us know how it sounds.

this is a mighty fine sounding tuna, for sure. and, one of the nicest looking tunas extant, imo, if not the nicest. if it's in good condition, i suspect you will prefer its sonics to the scott. it is also a prime choice for mods and refurb - when modded, it enters that small handful of tunas that are close to "as good as it gets"...

The 9900 it's one of the prettiest tuners i ever seen. It does have modding potential.

my tu9900 was positively diminutive, next to my tu-x1. i almost kept it instead of the tu-x1 for that reason...
