My condolences to his family. Allen was a really nice guy; I e-mailed him a few times about some of his tube designs and he was always friendly and helpful. He really loved tubes.

Have known Allen since mid-90's, and admit i distributed his Cable Cookbook long before many people ever knew of Allen. Met him in USA and in Germany quite a few times, enjoyed drinks, food... lots of fun talk.

So sad to hear he passed. My best wishes and prayers to all close to him.

This is so unfortunate. Allen Wright designed some of the best preamps in the industry. I truly hope his company continues and deepest of condolences to the family and friends in Switzerland, Australia and beyond.

Whoa, he wasn't very old. That is too bad, he will be missed. I had a lot of respect for his teachings (I read his posts with zeal on AA) even if I didn't always agree.
