I remember reading somewhere that you could increase the resolution of You Tube sound.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get the best sound out of You Tube?

The only way that it is possible is if the video has a higher resolution and consequently the audio itself will also benefit from it...but for older videos with 240p or 3xx the audio is severely compromised.
