One vote!!!  :thumb:

I think this will be a big plus for Bryston...in general Bryston sound has been a very accurate reproduction of the recordings. Lately I noticed with high rez material on Bryston setup it reproduce the sound with such 3d soundstage and ease - musicality that is hard to match.

Many of the electronics in the 'hifi' market tends to roll off the top/bottom to make it sound 'nice' on redbook material but they are missing a whole new dimension at high rez.

This is great news for the BDP-1 and Bryston.

Clearly HDTracks and the other dozen online sites are failing when it comes to mainstream music.  This is welcome news as Apple, Amazon and sites like HDTracks will all be competing for "our" business.

Let just hope the music labels have learned their lesson with DRM, last thing we want is another format.

Hi James,

Lack of content is pretty much the reason that I'm not buying the BDP-1 at the moment.  Non of the music I buy is available as a hi res digital download.

Assumming that the rumour is true, and Apple do release 24 bit music in Apple Lossless - will the BDP-1 play it?

Regards

Ron

Hi Ron,

Yes it would as they would be AIFF or Apple-lossless files.

Lack of content is the reason why I own zero high-rez albums.  Hopefully Apple can convince the major studios/labels that high-rez is worth the time and effort.  Not holding my breath though.

I feel your pain Stu  :D

Only time will tell if I will ever see high res releases of my favourite music genre. I do consider myself lucky that I was able to purchase a Dead Can Dance SACD box set.

Be well...
