hope you can help answer this question. I just removed my LRC from my Sound Anchor stand in order to prep it for the new Sound Anchor stand I should receive any day now.
Anyway, the Sound Anchor stands come with these little blue sorbothane adhesive pads (they call them "bluedots" on this page:

I had the LRC resting on these "dots" and after I finally managed to unpry the LRC from the stand (with great effort I might add), I found that the dots had left their adhesive all over the speaker cabinet. I tried to remove the adhesive w/ wood soap and a few different gentle cleaning products, no good. I finally had to resort to "Goof Off" to get the adhesive off and to my dismay the adhesive had striped the glossy finish off the cabinet. The cabinet looks fine except you can see what looks like 4 "dots" of missing varnish or gloss where the "bluedots" rested.
My LRC is in "cherry flambe" finish.
Now, it's not a huge deal, since it's on the bottom of the speaker and won't see any light, but it's also a little irritating. I'll stick w/ blue tack in the future.
If I were to repair the blemishes, how are the cabinets finished? Are they finished w/ some type of real light varnish or are they stained w/ linseed oil or something?
I probably won't bother (especially if it involves sanding down the entire cabinet), but I'd like to know my options (if you have any opinion).
