4bsst2 current draw?
« on: 20 Feb 2011, 04:29 pm »
How much current does a 4bsst2 amp pull during normal operation. I can find this stat for the big 28b on the Bryston web site, but I cannot find the similar stat for my 4bsst2 amp.  The 28bsst2 draws 9.5 amps.  Anybody know the answer?  Thx :)

Since quite a few people have viewed this thread I thought I'd go ahead and answer my own question (now that I know the answer).  The 4bsst2 will draw 7amps at full output.  7 amps max draw.

Is that 7 Amps at 120 or 240 Volts??

Hi

james

Thank you James, I was just a little surprised at how low the current drawn was, I am sure I had read somewhere that you should only run the 4BSST2 and above from a dedicated spur due to their demand, but that seems fine, especially with our UK 240V?
