Selling my Dodd Audio Battery Preamp with original JJ E88CC tubes and four new AGM batteries.  This unit has a spalted maple front panel and black wood side panels.  Has the wood matching remote for volume.  I have the original shipping box if needed.  Unit is in excellent condition.  Prefer local pickup.

I am quite surprised to see this up for sale, since I don't know what you would replace it with!  If this is the unit that I am thinking of, in addition to SOTA sound, it is stunningly beautiful.  Is this your unit? 




Rich- get a picture of this thing up and suspect it will sell fairly quickly.  These are excellent pre amps.

No, that is not my preamp.  Here is a picture of mine with Gary's remote control.  I have the matching maple remote at this point.  This is my Dodd Audio preamp sitting on the Pass Labs Aleph P preamp.



I replaced the preamp with the Dodd Audio Battery Tube Buffer as I do not need this much gain in a preamp with the Super-V's.

I ran this preamp with my GR-Research N2X speakers and Pass Labs Aleph 2 monoblocks.  It was killer!   

Hope to find it a good home for some music listening.

I have used my Dodd battery pre with a variety of speakers, including the Neo2X, and it is highly detailed, has a dead black background, and creates a wide and deep, palpable soundstage.  If you are looking for a pre, this one is an excellent value at $2K.

Ok, to add something special to this preamp sale, I have a pair of Valvo 7308's that really make music sound great in this unit.  They have about 100 hours on them and were NOS when installed.  Will include these for the price above for an interested buyer.  Will not separate the tubes from the preamp, they go as a set.

Like HAL, I have both the battery pre and the buffer.  In my case, I find that the buffer if perfect for my small room system, but I can use the gain of the battery pre in my system with my LS9s- they just need the extra oomph.  They are both incredibly detailed, clean, and musical.  Check out the reviews on the Dodd Battery Preamp.  Things haven't changed much over the last couple of years since they came out.  There isn't much out there for less that $10k that improves on it.  For $1800, this is a steal. I'm surprised you've still got it!
