I used this for a while. Nice sound, but I prefer my current-hungry tube amps.
This was built by Ted Wilson of DIY audio fame. I bought this last year and put at most a couple hundred hours on it. Good parts, including the caps and the stepped attenuator, as you can see in the photos. I considered putting the amp in a better chassis, but the cigar box actually does a pretty good job.
Output rating is 30W x 2 (not sure whether that’s into 4 Ohms or 8 Ohms).
I also have
--a pair of 12V, 7.5aH SLA batteries. (The amp runs on 24V). I kept the battery pretty much fully charged, so they should be in good shape. The amp will run a LONG time on these batteries.
--a switchbox that I built, that turns the amp on and off, and switches the charger into the circuit—very handy.
--a 3-stage, 24V charger
--cables
$225 or best offer for everything. I would also sell the amp separately.
