Should I bring anything?

Music!

This is what I have

Main system downstairs:

SB Touch or TBD TT (w Benz Glider 2H) > Beresford DAC or PassDIY Pearl phono pre > old ARC L3 pre > Zen V9 Class A amp > Gedlee Nathans plus only one  GR Servo sub

Upstairs:

Rega P1 w/ Denon DL-110 or SB3 > (needed Phono Pre) > TBD Pre > Quicksilver GLA > Solo 103, Woden Design Dunideer or Mark Audio Pensil 70 single driver speakers.

I may have a Aikido 6SN7 pre done by then but I am not that motivated.  I will more likely have a First Watt F5 clone finished.

So if anyone has a pre, phono pre or dac that they want to bring that would work.

I can bring my Rogue 99 pre and/or my Ray Samuels Nighthawk phono pre and/or my Marantz SACD player.

That sounds great as I do not have a cd player.
Also I am now 98% sure I will have the F5 finished.

Any extra seats open?  I have a tube amp I have been working on and would love to bring it to get some feedback on the sound.   KT88, CV18-Z, 6922 based.   Has Tentlabs bias board and some other good ingredients, just finished the  mahogany case.

Also have an Eastern Electric Dac I can bring if anyone is interested in hearing it.  I am waiting for Tentlabs shunt regulators to arrive to overhaul the whole thing to give it that true diy flavor.(diodes, caps, pot, etc)

Mark

There is room for sure.  Looks like ~8 so far.  My place is small but I think it will be fine with up to 12 or so.

I will plan on bringing the Eastern Electric Dac, with a complement of tubes.  Completed the first round of mods a couple of weeks ago.(20 schottky diodes, power suppply beefed up with better ripple filtration, bypass caps and coupling caps)   Wasn't able to use the Tentlabs regulators (opamp circuit current draw exceds rating, save for another project.)

Voltage regulators will be here next week.  Space is a premium, was planning on using only two Belleson regulators, 4 will be installed, this dac should really rock(already does).....If I don't short it out.

Many thanks to Kris for hosting us yesterday.  Even though I had to leave a little early (sorry!) I had a great time with some good tunes, good sound, good cheese, good beer and excellent conversation.

Kris is the man!

It was nice to meet some fellow New Englanders passionate about audio.  Thank you Kris for putting on a VERY nice spread of food and beverages!!

I really was digging the vinyl-digital a/b we did.  I thought the Rega/Pearl was a nice combo and that has inspired me to look into diy phono preamps.   The Eastern Electric dac I brought was a tad on the bright side and not very involving for my taste with the LME49720 installed.  I should have changed out the opamps.

Thanks again Kris for being a gracious host.  The two systems allowed me to hear single drivers(hadn't heard them before) and the Nathans as I might be in the market for a new speaker.

Yes, Kris, thank you.   The transitions between drivers in the Nathans is seamless.  They are very impressive.  I hope that you will be able to listen to my Salks before I move.

Nice seeing you all yesterday.  Maybe we can combine a weekly STi meet and NEAR G2G @ my house some Wednesday night.  Cars, music, but no chicks.

I have photos but dont know how to upload.  If I could email them to someone that can upload them, I would be grateful.

Thanks everyone for stopping over. It was fun to play around with all the different sources.  We should try and do it more
often.
