Could anyone direct me to the old posts about the upgrade from 6N1P tube to 6CG7?

I have hard time finding it. Thanks.

I thought I would comment on  tubes for my ultra pre-amp.Although I felt the EH sensors were not bad sounding and an good value,i found that a few of the NOS tubes I tried over the last year sounded the best for me. However I now have settled in on a current tube thats beats out all the best NOS in my system.

The 12Au7-T PSVANE Reference Tube

Using this tube in my system I have the absolute best sound period ! It fits my taste .  They are a little costly. My word for these tubes is a "savage" sound

That's in a unit made before Frank changed to 6 volt.

And then this thread was asking about the upgrade from 6N1P to 6CG7 which is the first link in my original post in this thread. 8)

Sure. Hit the "search" tab (between help and profile) which brings up a new screen. In the appropriate window enter the word or phrase for the search and lower down you can choose which circle or circles to search. (the box for all circles is already checked, you'll want to uncheck that first and just check AVA)

You still get a list, but it really narrows things down. Give it a try. Maybe do the 6CG7 search I did to see how it goes.8)
