Anyone remember how many albums the Peaches crates use to hold?

Thanks, hoping to find some crates from someone getting out of vinyl :)

And maybe still filled with records

Found this on the web...

Where can I find wooden crates for free?

Try a farmer's market or the fruit and vegetable market that meets early in the morning. Call your city health department if you don't know where this is, cause I guarantee they'll know!

Try a winery or a distribution company.

I have 2 in the garage attic. I think they will hold from  150-175 each, depending on jacket design/thickness. Mine are antiques tho, and while they aren't being used right now for LP storage, they have some value.

May I suggest one of these for storage that has a future, if you decide to expand into vinyl:

I believe this is what the original poster was referring to.  Internal dimensions are 22" length, 13" wide and 13.5" deep. Hold approx. 125 albums.

As i had mentioned in my post, i cannot do the storage systems where i have to turn my head at an angle to read the spine of the jacket.  My two expedits are showing me that :(

Steve

Yep, thats them..!

Why don't you build your own? It's easy and cheap.

I meant that I have 2 peach crates, hence the number of LPs they hold. My collection became too large for them, so I got the steel shelves, and now I have 2 of them full.

I'd think about offering the peach crates to you, but I'm not sure if they would make the trip thru the mail.

Yeah, I have the same idea as your shelves but they are Expedits.  Your shelves have the same problem for me in that you have to crank your head and neck to look at the spine and that's if your eyes can still read what was written there :(

Thanks for the thought for the crates, if screws had been used instead of nails you could break them down but....
