This is a real nice table for any newbies out there. I have modified the anti-skating device so that it actually works (a flaw with this table) and have replaced the "disco" cartridge with the awesome AT440MLa cartridge. I have the original box also.

You will also get my "FAST-CAT" cartridge alignment tool for free. It will come with the cartridge installed, aligned, but with the counterweight and platter removed. This is a 3 speed table (33.33/45/78) and also sports a USB port (with software) and a built in phono preamp, so you can hook it up to a line level input (no phono RIAA input needed, tho recommended).

All you will have to do is assemble the platter and mat, then zero balance the tone arm and then set it to 1.5 grams. Oh yeah, then spin vinyl like a mad man.

I need room on my counter and this table simply has to go. The cartridge is brand new (BTW).

$465 shipped to 48 lower US. Paypal is the only way.

Wayner,

A question for you on the AT table.  Would this table be a decent platform for a better arm?  Will an SME type armboard for the SL1200 mount onto the plinth without much modification?

The reason I ask is I have a cheap & cheerful dilemma on my hands.  I have a 10+ year old TNT that needs a new motor and motor controller but haven't pulled the trigger because of the cost.  A more affordable alternative would be to find a good DD platform like this and mount my Graham/DL103 arm/cart on it.

The fixed up TNT would probably be better in many ways, but the funds to get it going again won't be surfacing any time soon.  And I got records to spin!

Thanks.

The quick answer is....YES! The arm is a problem on this deck as the anti-skating device does not work properly and needs to be tweaked. The platform the arm sits on is like the Technics SL1200 series, so it does have VTA. I think the rest of the table is actually pretty good.

I have communicated with AT about the anti-skate failure, but they did not seem to interested. The table is shipped with a "disco" cartridge that is made for "scratchin", and it tracks at 3+ grams, not an audiophile range.

Thanks.  I think I'll pick one up and check it out further.
