[Note: as many of you know I am a HUGE Modwright fan...for good reason...Dan's stuff is incredible. All of Dan's preamps and amps are giant killers; tremendous bargains for those of us looking to get into true audio state-of-the-art for real value investment. I've done this with his SWL preamp, his modded players and (most recently) my current reference monoblock amplifiers are his incredible KWA-150 monoblocks. In fact, I am going to further that investment by having them upgraded to his new SE "signature" series asap. Why is such a Modwright schill selling this tremendous preamp? I am, first and foremost, a card carrying member of the audiophile kingdom and I change gear every so often.
Also, as I stated earlier, buying Modwright gear introduces you to the finer things in life...and all I'm doing now is going slightly further....for LOTS more money. My next preamp is the Concert Fidelity CF-080 that retails for TWICE what this one did (or about 4X my selling price).
There is no 'moving forward" without some pain, and in order to beat the sound of the wonderful MW 36.5 means wayyyyyyy more money.]This is the vaunted Dan Wright top-of-the-line dual mono two-box tubed preamplifier (msrp $10,000), now the reference tubed preamp for reviewer’s such as Srajan Ebaen (6Moons). I am pricing this to move fairly quickly.

Testimonials:
"The SWL 9.0 modeled itself closely on high-resolution transistor sound, i.e. neutral down the middle. The LS-36.5 stays the course but digs deep into the space drawer of dimensionality and layering where tubes hold the aces. It's really amazing how far Dan Wright has come in a short time as a manufacturer. At its price, the LS-36.5 is a very strong statement to make both its designer and future owners proud….the LS/PS 36.5's low gain and very gradual volume taper coupled to its exceptional noise behavior is simply perfect…….If you view audio important enough to warrant long-term investments into personal gratification and listening indulgence, the LS/PS 36.5 combo is a guaranteed high-yield stock. Dan Wright's math continues working because the sonic performance advance of going offboard with the power supply and more than doubling it to provide each channel with what both had together before; plus more... there's a still solid return on investment you won't strain to hear and appreciate. ModWright now means more than high value. With this duo, it means statement effort for all but the financially completely liberated."
- Srajan Ebaen, sixmoons review site (this preamp is Srajan’s reference tubed preamp currently)
"Insofar as system matching goes, the ModWright 36.5bwould be a terrific choice for 99% of digital & solid-state systems that are in need of musicality to facilitate long term listening satisfaction. And surprisingly, the Modwright 36.5 also told me about faults that I never knew existed in gear that is much more expensive than it is; that, my dear reader, is what this reviewer calls "wildly exceeding expectations". Musically satisfying in all the ways that serve the music, the ModWright 36.5 is a dandy of a preamp."
