VACUUM TUBE VALLEY-Out of Business?
« on: 3 Feb 2011, 08:39 pm »
Are these guys still in business?? I get a recording saying their number has been disconnected? I know that's a pretty good indicator that things aren't good.  Just wondering if someone here knows for sure.

Thanks,

Gary

It is unfortunate but Charlie Kittleson, owner of VTV, passed away on Feb. 10, 2009.  I believe family and friends tried to keep the torch alive for a while but didn't have the deep knowledge of vacuum tubes that Charlie had.

Last year I made a Paypal transaction for an expensive tube from that website. It was still an active looking website and their Paypal checkout setup was still active. It wasn't til I Googled the website and found out they had been out of business for a year. Telephone calls & emails were useless. I ended up filing a Resolution Complaint with Paypal and 30 days later, Paypal refunded my money. That's one website I won't be forgetting anytime soon!

Cheers,
Robin
