I have Squeeze Server feeding two SB3s around the house (one with the Boulder digital mods and CI power supply). The music source is iTunes on a Mac mostly using Apple Lossless (MP4?).
Squeeze Server gives me a message LAME codec is not installed. Do I need the LAME coded installed?
Also, this makes me wonder if I have everything configured optimally. My goal is to keep the entire music chain "lossless", and don't want my music converted to MP3 at any time. How can I verify that my music is not getting downverted along the way? What bit rate should i see on the SB3 end?
