[Arctos]

If anyone is interested, there is a company on Agon selling new ones for $599 on sale for a short time.  I haven't heard one myself, but these were reviewed well and it looks like a deal.  Has anyone heard one or have comments on this amp?

I briefly owned it years ago.  It was a good amp for under 1K, but I found it a little dry and slightly mechanical sounding.  I also had a CJ MV55 amp at the same time and that just smoked it in terms of tonal color and organic sound.  Of course, the SA 250 was far more powerful and a better match for the Maggies I was using at the time.  It's not a bad amp- I actually liked it more than a Bryston 3b ST that I demoed at the same time, but value priced SS amps are just not my forte.
