I just tried plugging my mac mini into my Panasonic plasma, th50pz85ua, mini display plug/md-hdmi converter, hdmi input3. That input is supposed to be buffered for pc use. I got a couple seconds of snow,flash of the apple screen, snow, then tv shut off with power light blinking. Unplugged tv, turned back on, now all inputs have a 2.5 inch black vertical line on the right side of the screen. Must have fried something...
Called panasonic, they said it was a problem with that series. Gave me the number for a service center, I remember it being $400-$500 to replace boards. I had one already done under warranty when the tv was new. Two years old, out of warranty now.
Anyone have any ideas how to fix, or know how to source these boards. Google hasn't lead to much except some ebay stuff.
