bryston cable compared to...

hi everyone,

since the last advice I received in this forum about cablelength I'm looking for a high quality cable of about 60 cm. I made my own by cutting a van den Hull d-352 http://www.vandenhul.com/p_C08.aspxand connecting the naked cable into the bryston b28 and a hooked bananaplug into the Quad esl 63.
the cable tends to pull the bananaplugs together and then shut down the brystons because of power short circuit. The bananaplugs have no isolation, and the sparks come of...

I had a look at http://bryston.com/pdfs/09/SpeakerCable.pdf but my dealer appears to believe those are inferior to the vandenhull cable.

i'd prefer company ready made cables with perfectly isolated cable to homemade ones. The bystons appear to be cheap, 9 dollar per foot.

Hope to get your input,

thanx,
Marius

Don't know about the Vandenhull but I had replaced my Cardas GRC's and I like the bryston's better.
The Cardas were too mellow to my ears, where the Bryston's brought more life to the music and way cheaper.
I had the older Bryston cables and now have the newest version.
If they didn't do justice to the music I wouldn't use them,Mah 28's wouldn't stand for it anyway.

Do you notice any difference between the old Bryston cables and the new ones??

I haven't swapped them back and forth.
I suppose I should do that just to hear if there is.
I think if there was a huge difference I would have heard it.
The Torus was a huge difference, that's the kind of difference I like, not where I think I hear or have to try and hear,It just is.

FWIW -

I just replaced some comparably priced Furutech U-4.1T with the Bryston SC-4.  The SC-4 produced noticable improvements, tighter and a little deeper base, smoother highs and a little more detail.  I bought 20 feet of the SC-4 and given the results it was well worth the investment, especially at $9.00/ft.  I couldn't be happier with the stuff.
