I would love to try Pliny the Younger. My most wanted IPA.
It will become available the first Friday in February ( for about 6 weeks) to coincide with Strong Beer Month in the SF Bay Area. Expect to wait in a very long line at the brewery, if you want any. Otherwise it will be available at select bars in the Bay Area for a very limited time. Typically, the establishment will get a "pony keg" of the stuff and that will be gone within an hour or two depending upon how many people were alerted via twitter, text or word of mouth and then show up. I heard of one bar in Sacramento that had a keg and were charging at least double the normal rate for a pint. Some folks complained about it to the Russian River brewery and that bar was cut off from future supplies!
I hope to have some this year.
