It's the TASCAM US-144mkII USB audio and MIDI interface box. This thing has it all. End panel has inputs for microphones (XLR connectors) and the option for phantom power (48 volt), line inputs (L/R) and a headphone jack with adjustable level. The back side has a USB input, S/PDIF input and output, line out (analog) and MIDI in and out. The top panel has L/R input level controls for the microphones/line in inputs, a guitar direct input control, phantom power switch, line out level, headphone level and a mix control for input/output. It is a 4 channel duplex device that can record and playback at the same time, do 2 channels of analog and 2 channels of digital at the same time, plus run MIDI at the same time. It's 24/96 converter is lighting fast.

If you have been looking for something to record your vinyl on, this might be the piece to do it with, tho it does not have a phono (or RIAA) input, but using your AVA preamp with phono board will give you great results to archive you vinyl digitally. It also comes with Stienberg Cubase LT5 if you want to record yourself with what ever instrument you play.

I run it with my Cakewalk Pro audio software. Can do many many tracks of recording.
