Victory Brewing Old Horizontal is a very good Barley Wine!
If you like barley wines you should really start cellaring. Its amazing what a few years do for these. Just grab a extra case and put it away for two or three years. Mmmmmmmmmmmm
Full Sail Old Boardhead is available Year round. It won many contests including the 2006 World Beer Cup
I have not tried many. Really like Sierra Nevada's Big Foot, but not available until April. But I want some NOW!Picked up a 4-pack of Blithering Idiot. Was I, for picking it up? Still cooling so don't know yet.Recommendations please, with a little description of flavor if possible as well. Thanks! Not till April! I just picked up a sixer of 2011 Bigfoot. Damn tasty. I think I'll get a couple more and try ageing a few to see how it might change. Another seasonal big beer worth trying is Bell's Hopslam double IPA.
I had a 22 of a Barley wine style ale last night. Most if you will not be able to get but people in NY and MA should be able too. It the Pretty Things "our finest regards". Very tasty. Check it out.
