I'm going to have to pick this one up asap- looks like we'll finally get a widescreen version. Unfortunately I forgot to look and see if it got the DD or DTS treatment this time around. This is such a classic movie, and it really deserved a better edition that it got the first time.

Well, I just finished watching it tonite. The new edition is excellent, back in widescreen, thankfully. It is in Dolby Digital, although it sounded great in PLII, too, since it's mostly music as opposed to special effects.

There is a Commitments group still touring. They did a free show at a local Indian casino on Sunday. We were going to go, but I looked up their website-only three people from the movie are still in the group. Most importantly, the lead signer (can you believe he was 16 when that movie was made?) is not.
