Fixed wet cell phone
« on: 15 Jan 2011, 04:38 pm »
Finally, after all this time, I dropped my cell phone into water and drenched it. Was sure it was dead, crackled, made wild noises and went white screened. So living in the cyber world I googled for fixes. Found one and was very surprised it worked. Was going to buy a new phone.
Blew it out with compressed air, then set it in a bag of rice overnight to soak up rest of moisture. Works great this morn. I know it's old news to many but never had to deal with it before.

Congrats.
I tried the same thing with an ipod that went through a wash cycle. The ipod would work when connected to my computer but would not respond to commands from the front buttons.  It was my 12-year-old grandson who recommended the rice to me.

I have so much fun with my 3 year old grandaughter. I play dumb and ask her ....Hey Ella I got stuck.......she says you're silly..throws my hands into space and says.....you click here then you click here then you point up here ......then.......
