Cornet2 auricap question
« on: 13 Jan 2011, 11:35 pm »
Hello,

I built the Cornet2 with only stock parts and have been getting the itch to make the suggested Auricap upgrades.  I noticed the the manual the parts are listed as AES #CAUD1-450 to replace 0.1uF 400V and AES #CAU1-450 to replace 1uF 400V.

First off, the 450V variety don't appear to be available on AES, and second, Is there a reason why one would want to substitute 400V for 450V? Would I be okay with 400V
Auricaps that are in stock at AES?

400V is fine.  The schematic actually shows 400V - it just has to be higher than the B+ voltage (~330 V).

Damn, I already ordered some from AES.  Thanks anyway though.
