Got a brand new pair of soul superbly speakers here. They have been removed from their cartons for photos in this issue and then boxed right back up.

Never been played, zero hours on them. 2600 new, yours for $2000, shipping insurance and pay pal fees included to continental US only.

nope. I couldn't afford to pick them up and hope for the best with my existing pair. It would already cost me a couple hundred bucks to upgrade the finish at my asking price.

Congrats to whoever got 'em. If Walnut were available when I bought my speakers, I would have gotten it in the first place... oh well, thats the risk you take when you get pair number 6.

Nah, they look fine to me. The desire for Walnut was mostly driven by my wife. She tolerates my pass time with minimal input so when she voiced a preference I figured I'd try to appease.

I'm not sure how I'm out of control...

Not only am I NOT the purchaser, but I wasn't looking to upgrade or change anything sonically. Just wanted a finish that clashes less. Cosmic Carbon is cool and passable for now in my condo, but won't really go with how the wife or I would want to decorate our next place. Worth a couple hundred bucks for sure and I'd have bought them in that finish in the first place if it were available back then.

There are a million reasons to call me crazy, heh. But I don't think this is one of them.

Hey Guys & Gopher,

I must REALLY be the one out of control since I'm the obsessed audiofreak that bought the Walnuts.

Just like Gopher, I already have the Cosmic Carbons and thought the real wood veneer would add a touch of warmth and designer cache to the listening room. I have always thought that a speaker sounds the way it looks. My Harbeth SHL5's in Rosenut are warm, woody and resonant. Now with the Walnut finish I fully expect the Superflys to sonically reflect their outward appearance - LOL.

Hey Gopher, at least you don't have to go through the break-in period all over again!

Squirrels love walnuts - be careful who you invite over; I'm guessing gophers are more about grass and weed!
