New for 2011: Revised NS-15 (integrated version shown)

The new NS-15 provides an extremely solid 15 watts per channel. Color shown is from a 1974 Cadillac. My customer wanted a Stromberg Carlson brown finish.

2011 model upgrades:
1] Larger power supply (100 watts B+!!!)
2] Updated filtering stages
3] Updated driver stage
4] New grounding approach

Most remarkable features:
1] Ability to drive low sensitivity speakers
2] Nearly 100% quiet
3] Tight bass, slightly warm mids, silky smooth highs
4] SPEED! This thing is FAST!!! The ultimate Single Ended sound stage.
5] Cool operation

and..much more! A writeup will follow.

Even with the upgrades, I am keeping the price $785.00 for the base model.  :D

The integrated option is $150.00

Options available free of charge:

*Different size rocker switches or colors (red or black).
*Finish color. As you can see, I can get nearly anything!
*A natural aluminum volume knob can be subbed for the anodized black one.

Hey Blair,

Can you tell us what sonic differences one might expect from your new single ended NS 15 vs the prior push pull with the same model identification?  Thanks in advance.

The earlier model push-pull actually does around 25 watts/channel. That one was in the shop about a year ago for some updates. It actually sounds like a early NS-60 to me due to the transformers. It's very linear, smooth, exactly neutral. It's so linear that very little feedback, if any is necessary for many speakers.

The NS-15 displayed is warmer sounding and 15 watts per channel. Both models are fluid and have tight bass. Highs are present and natural, not over or underdone for either. Also, both are automatically biased. They both have variable feedback.

The new NS-15 is single ended, so there will be some differences. It will have slightly less punch, but be more fluid. I would say it's more "organic" than the early push-pull. That is neither a pro or con, since I like both delivery styles.

Hi Blair and all Audio Circle members.
Just a few suggestions.
The bottom plate cover edge, should be painted the same color as the chassis, because you can see on the picture that it's of a different color, it disturb the beauty of the chassis.

The rocker power switch should have the little white dot on top, if the white dot indicate the on position. The same as household lighting switches, top is always for on.

I think your Niteshade Audio logo name plate would look nicer (IMO) if in between the rocker power switch and the volume control, instead of in the corner.

Of course, you are still missing all the identification of all the controls, but that's my opinion for what itès worth...
Keep up the good work...
