Hi Frank, Hot Tubes!

I just bought a new stand for my components, a Q4 Quadraspire. It is configurable and looks great in my room.

I bought 140 mm posts between the shelves housing my T7 ECR. This leaves 50 mm, about 2 inches, above the preamp and it is open on all 4 sides. It is running a lot hotter than when it was totally out in the open, I am wondering if I need taller posts?

My 550 EXR is doing a lot better with 3 inches of clearance above it, although the heat sinks are hot (I guess that's what they are for).

Do I get the 180 mm posts to have the T7 run cooler? Or should I just let the tubes glow? The sound, by the way, is glorious!

Thanks,

Biz
