For me it's Pat Metheny. I've got somewhere around 30-35 of his releases and about half of that is on vinyl.

After that I'm pretty sure it's Genesis and solo efforts from the individual members. That one numbers between 20-25 with the majority being on vinyl. After that it's probably Clapton, Sinatra or Stan Getz at about 15-20.

I've got a a bunch of of artists that fall into the 5 to 10 to 15 range. Guys like Basie, Ellington, Yes, Rush, Allman Bros and so on.

Yeah, I'm swimming in Pat Metheny/PMG/Lyle Mays too, with Keith Jarrett/KJ Trio variants close behind.  They're just very prolific I guess.

For me, David Bowie followed by Prince ( which actually surprised me ) with Porcupine Tree nosing out Elvis Costello for third place. CD's only - all other formats packed away so not included.

The two largest in my collection by far are Phish and the Grateful Dead.

For Phish, I have over 450 albums, shows, and DVD's. Almost all of their shows from the last few years are in hi-rez and sound really good.  :-)

For the Grateful Dead, I have over 250 albums (which includes shows, Dick's Picks, Road Trips, Box Sets, etc...)

Some other major artists include the following:

The Beatles
Rush
John Coltrane
Miles Davis
Cannonball Adderley
Thelonius Monk
Frank Sinatra
Tori Amos
Steely Dan
Dave Matthews Band
Beethoven
Bach

Jazz:
Miles Davis, nearly all in both LP and CD
Grant Green most of his on CDs
Monk, Mingus, Coltrane.. (plenty of, but not nearly complete)
Dave Brubeck nearly all in LP
Lots of others but none as complete.
Rock:
Bob Dylan all in both LP and CD
Ventures most earlier LPs
Plenty of others have many albums.. I try to have the best of the artists, so I just do not try to be a completist
However I have almost no Rolling stones (only Hot rocks in LP) nor any Greatful Dead.
Pop:
Frank Sinatra LPs nearly all Capitol releases, and Reprise.
Joan Baez LPs nearly all
Classical:
I don't know if it counts, just saying I have a LOT of all the major composers.
Favorite composers Debussy, Bartok, Stravinsky.
Latest two LP purchases:
Yoko Ono: Between my head and the Sky
Adrian Belew:Mr Music Head
Latest CD:
Linda Perry: In  Flight,
Waterboys: Whole of the Moon
Hooverphonic: President of the LSD Golf Club
