And the Pathos new classic one is my new baby

Hi Guys

The new classic one is my baby and i must say that i'm very satisfied with it. The sound is already very impressive after just 100 hours playing! The distributor assured me even that the sound will become much better after one month! My Sonus Fabers Signums loves this amp :) I think i've found the right amp, or not??? (The only 'weakness' is that there is no pre out to get more advantage of this wonderful pure class A balanced pre amp...) Connect to my Fanfare tuner, this amp showed me more than ever how great an analog tuner can sound!

I just would like to know if there are Pathos users on this webboard. I find it a bit weird that there's almost nothing to find about this company although this company has great amps in terms of sound quality and design! Just curiousity!

Cheers,
Steven.

Yes I agree, the new Pathos Classic One is SUPERB, particularly in the midrange. You might want to try some Siemens or Amperex 7922s or 6DJ8s as well... the stock Sovteks can be a little thin in brighter systems, but may be fine with your Sonus Fabers.

Steven:

Did you need a pre-out for a sub? Cuz a REL would work nicely off the output posts. You could also run a sub attenuator in parallel to the speaker wire to a sub that has no built-in attenuator (or to an external crossover). Paradigm has a model that's fairly transparent.

Well Enzo,

Sorry for the delay, i'm in the middle of a tour currently.

I thought actually to connect the pathos to an other amp to feed another room (Like the amp KLaus is making) without having to buy another pre amp... As for the sub, maybe one day i'll add one to my system, but the sound i'm getting now is already very satisfying for me. I'll see what the future brings... This amp makes me anyway feel good when i listen to music at night, and that's the main important thing i think.

Cheers,  :)
Steven.
