I'm looking for recommendations for a headset that will allow me to Skype with my 2nd gen iPod Touch.  Cost is the object -- I don't want to spend a lot, but I would like a headset/IEM that is comfortable, reliable, with low microphonics, and with good phone (mic/sound) performance.  I have another set of (Etymotic) earbuds that I use for music, so this is only for phone usage.

I was considering NuForce NE-7M which are $50 but am certainly not sold on them.  That's just a starting point, so anything $50 or (preferably) less would be ideal.  Any suggestions?  Folks have told me to steer away from the stock Apple headset as it is not worth the money.

Thanks for your suggestions,  -dB

I also saw the DENON AH-C260R on Head Room, and the Klipsch S2 over on Amazon.  Does anyone have any experience with these models?  Any others?

Thanks, -dB

I use the supplied Apple earbuds and mic for calls (both Skype and otherwise) with my iPhone. No complaints.

I agree, the supplied headphones are reasonable and hard to beat for $30, but if you already have headphones you like you can get the Shure MPA-3C cable that will add a mic.

I have no experience with this model, but own two of the original model, but the Sennheiser PX-100 iII is looking to be a nice set, but also may be more than you want.  I love the px-100s but I don't really use them for music, just for listening to the speech output of my computer.

Not even sure if these new ones are out yet.

For Skype you can research some Logitech or Plantronics headsets. Don't spend over US30.00.
For music, well....to each his own. I still enjoy my trusty Stax Lambda Nova Electrostatics. :thumb:
