Hi Frank,I admire you for (sticking to your guns)on the statement you made in the early 80's on the ridiculousness of exspensive speaker cables.I always beleived you were right! Here is proof;I just got my Absolute Sound in the mail box,February. There was a report on the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest.Your new tube amp, preamp, and DAC were highly mentioned and reguarded.I really don't know what editor from Absolute Sound wrote this, all highly audio experts said..When asked you about the wiring in your system setup, you laughed and said"It's probably the 100 foot roll I got from Radio Shack a couple years back".Then this is the eye opener.."Despite or maybe because of the cable, the system was musical, dynamic, and something any audiophile could enjoy without reservation".Despite or maybe means to me they don't know shi$ from shinola about wires, and you were right all along about componentry being the primary factor for great sound.I use Shack wiring too, solid core hookup wire, red and black, twisted in a helix fashion,I guess so it doesn't act like a antenea, and it sounds great to me.I do beleive in what my high school chemistry teacher said"Gentlemen, keep your connections clean, bright and tight",thus gold connectors.Hats off to you Frank!....Mark Korda
