I'm one of Frank's long-term customers.  It seems to me that he started this thread to let us all know he's having to raise prices, not to put the subject out for debate.

His announcement lets us know to make those planned purchases before the prices go up, if our budgets will allow.  I've taken advantage of this sale by placing an order, but have had to pass on many previous sales over the years due to my budget.

In my experience, his products offer SOTA performance at very good prices, just like his website claims.  If you don't agree, there are a lot of other vendors out there to purchase equipment from.

Everytime you buy from him, you contribute to maintaining the jobs of his employees, and indirectly contribute to those of his vendors.  It seems short-sighted to think he would raise any of his prices if he didn't need to.  His post previous to mine confirms this.

I purchased a different set, that were gold plated and specified to take banana plugs as opposed to "may" accept banana plugs.  16 bucks with shipping.

I am sure there will be no audible difference but I will be happy if my plugs have a little tighter fit. I know this is off topic somewhat but notice that these parts come straight from Hong Kong, probably made in China.  there are certainly some grey market items that can be bought on e-bay for cheap, made in china, that cost a lot of money over here.

I bought some circuit boards from China on Ebay for my Dyna SCA-35, I am surprised by their quality, look and feel just like the U.S. made. Don't get me wrong, I am through with the topic about jobs going oversea, and I love the AVA product.
