I found this film to be visually stunning! The babies are charming and funny.
The movie follows four babies from Mongolia, Namibia, San Fran, and Tokoyo.
The movie is an inspiring exaimination of childhood and human behavior.

I agree! It really made you think about cultural vs innate attributes...

I think they did a good job of showing how we can really stress ourselves out as western parents- trying to be sure our kids get educational toys & classes and we have every outlet covered and god forbid we miss a well-child visit. While there are children around the world who would be lucky to get a dr visit when they are ill!

SPOILERS (highlight text in brackets to see):

Now, does that mean I think we SHOULD [let our babies chew on rocks or tie them to their beds?]] Of course not... but I think it helps to keep things in perspective.

Since I work with children (or have) from a variety of walks of life within the US, I think it would be just as interesting to do one with all US families from different cultural/socioeconomic backgrounds.

Anyhow- they did all this and presented lots of topics for debate, while still making it fun to watch. I didn't come across as having any agenda whatsoever...
