Spring cleaning... on sale now!

I find myself with more demo speakers than I really need and have decided to cut back on demo stock.

First off I have one pair of Paradox-3's left that need a new home.

http://www.gr-research.com/paradox/paradox_3.htm

These are in Black Oak just like in the picture. They have been used as a demo pair and have a few small scratches here and there but not bad at all.

Time to move them! $800. for the pair.

Kit cost with enclosures were $1,100. for the pair.

I also have two pairs of Criterion's in Maple as picture here:

http://www.gr-research.com/lucidity/finished.htm

$1,200. per pair and I'll pay the shipping.

Also, one pair of Diluceo's in Oak and with dual binding posts.

http://www.gr-research.com/lucidity/dil-finished.htm

$1,400. for the pair and I'll pay the shipping.

Also, since I have new Alpha LS enclosures on the way, and must assemble one of the new Rosewood pairs as new samples, I can make someone a real honey of a deal on my personal pair veneered in Padauk.

See pics here: http://www.gr-research.com/AlphaLS/Alpha.htm

Call or e-mail for pricing.

I also have one Bolder modded Art DI/O DA converter with Bolder power supply I'll let go for $500. Sounds great, I just don't use it anymore.

Okay here is the deal on the Alpha LS's on sale.

Mark Shifter is producing a run of enclosures for me.

Some in Rosewood, some Walnut, some Ebony.

I believe all are spoken for now except for some of the Rosewood.

These are somewhat expensive veneers especially the Ebony.

I am still going to shoot for keeping them to no higher than $5,200. a pair fully assembled. I was selling them fully assembled in just plain Oak for $4,900.

The Demo pair I have is a beautiful Padauk finish (which was expensive veneer), but one has a blemish in the veneer down low on one side (left speaker towards the wall). I thought I would price them to move though since I have more on the way. How does $4,200. for the pair sound?

These have the latest updates, Sonicaps, Silver coated Teflon jacketed wire, external crossover, and bass management system.

I don't have to sell them. I just don't need multiples of the same speaker here for demo's.

I might take less if my arm is twisted.

I do, but should really stock what I sell. Whenever somebody sees the Padauk that's what they want, and I am not importing Padauk.

Plus, I just can't see stocking multiples of the same speakers.

And I will also be a dealer for the Epiphany line and I have a finished set of the big 20/21's on the way in Birdseye Maple.

So I need to limit the number of really big speakers around here too.

Having heard them, I truly wish that I could purchase them especially since I live so close.   Thanks for letting me listen to them along with the AV-3s which I ended up purchasing as a kit from you.  They are still not finished as I have been ill several times in the last 2 months.  Think they would fit in my Taurus?

Danny, I was just kidding.  You (or your cabinet supplier) can buy padauk veneer from some veneer sources.  It cost me about the same as rosewood veneer.
BTW, I was really impressed by the sound of the Epiphany's that I heard at Vegas.  Kudos to you as the designer!

You should PM jonwb about those Alphas.

He's had that pic of those exact pair as his avatar for how long now. He'd probably love to actually have them?

I can't wait to see pics of the assorted veneers in Alpha cabinets. I've been trying to see other people's finished Alphas here for months and have yet to see one?

It's not hard people and they're stunning speakers.

The Alpha LS's are gone or will be as soon as I can get them created and shipped.

The Paradox-3 demo models are gone.

Diluceo's may be gone... a couple of guys wanting them....

Need to move a couple a pairs of Criterions still though.

Danny -

Can you help?

I have been contemplating purchasing a GR Research product but I'm a little overwhelmed by choices.  I'm looking for the best sounding speaker in terms of music reproduction and one that is magnetically shielded.  Lately I have been comparing the Criterion/Diluceo/A/V2/A/V3s.

The Lucidity seric (the Crit. and Dilu.) are Danny's 'all out' designs.

The AV series are regarded as outstanding performance/value but not intended to be 'the BEST'.

I think the Eton woofers in the Lucidity series aren't shielded, but maybe I'm wrong?
If they're not though.... could a sheilding magnet be attached to 'em.
I thought I saw you can order those from somewhere like Parts Express?

Just a thought.

I think Ryan hit it on the head pretty well.

And the Eton woofers are NOT shielded.
