i have a low hissy humm now from my speakers when they are hooked up to my amps and not my pre(even when hooked to pre)
had a electrical storm this past weekend and i just unplugged the amps -when i replugged them the problems started :evil:

no matter what amp i use-4 different monos and a harmon kardon-

i cleaned all  my grounds at the breaker box-
un hooked cable
and all appliances-still there
lifted grounds on everything
HELP

It appears from your description that the problem might be at the pre amp or source equipmnet. My first question is: was any of your equipment plugged into a surge suppressor? Is it possible that a surge damaged your equipmnet?.  My second question is, can you swap out some of your sources to possibly isolate the problem?
Another possibility is that your speaker may be damaged.

thanx dan-

my electrician friend just left-i found sparks at my ground this am and called him-
i had 5 volts going thru my water pipes  :o -he traced it to a line installed years ago that they ran a ground to the pipes -bad outlet
