Internal Damping For A SS Amplifier
« on: 28 Dec 2010, 08:26 pm »
    Hello,

I am looking for advice, suggestions, help in that I want to add damping material to the inside of the case of my Edge Amplifier.
    Any suggestions?  Warnings?

I am thinking in terms of damping sheets, but I don't know what is feasible or even safe.

                                                                          Thank You

I've used Dynamat Extreme in similar applications and never had an issue.  Just double check that you have enough clearance, I've had to cut irregular shapes for inside CDP's.

Flat top Audiopoints w/discs underneath all my gear is always a nice counter vibration touch beyond internal dampening, works for me anywho.  :thumb:

Compressed wool. 3M damping sheets, Dynamat, raw silk, wood clamps. Have fun trying.
