I purchased the Canon T2I with the intention to view photos on my 46" HDTV in 1080p. Using the camera connected by HDMI cable, I am able to view the photos. I can tell there is a significant difference in lighting detail viewed in HD.
The problem is I can't keep the photos stored on the camera indefinitely. Files transferred to my computer that is presently connected to HDTV, aren't displayed in HD. My laptop however is HD, so no problem there as I can store all my photos on that with 800 GB of memory available. Viewing the photos however is not as satisfying on the laptop as on the 46" HDTV.
I can transfer photos to DVD and view them through my universal dvd player that has jpeg connected by HDMI. The other option, I have another computer with a very good HD graphics card that I can view photos on a 24" monitor. But am having problems with that computer's OS.
Anyway I am just throwing the idea out there to discuss. Maybe someone has a better solution or idea for HD viewing of photos.
