Wintery scenes in December.

Ok, I guess some prefer to see personal photos over POD thread. So I will post what I think are my better shots in this thread.

I had my camera with me and as I was driving home I saw some great photo opportunities. I drove by a few others that maybe I should have stopped.

The photos were taken north of the town of Shell Lake Sk. & Debden, except for the buffalo and Blue Divide.

I was using RAW and HD Jpeg for first time. Forgot to set camera to Landscape, as I usually use Auto mode.

I almost drove past it, I've seen old abandoned houses a number of times but never had my camera. Then I thought I have to capture this as scenes like this are disappearing possibly never to be seen again. :|

There is / was a company in Alberta that drove around buying old dilapidated farm buildings and country houses like one you posted.  They would then use the wood to build 'antique' furniture.  It sure looked authentic.

I like the Blue Divide. Maybe you prefer an original photo of the house?

Gorgeous picture, Nathan.  :thumb:

It only gets so wintery here in Southern California. After the biggest storm in ten years, I went to the beach. If I had known that I would be the only one there I would have brought my camera. These were all taken with my iPhone.

Merry Christmas from So Cal!!!  :xmas:

I think I have about as much salt on my car as the saltwater in those shots!  But I wouldn't have it any other way; give me snow over sunburn!
