Vintage Equipment Restoration
« on: 22 Dec 2010, 06:40 pm »
I have a Yamaha CR-2020 from 1979 that in it's day was as sweet as Tupelo Honey playing out of my Epicure 20+ speakers.

I live in Atlanta and would like to get this old unit restored with some updated caps etc...

Does anyone know of a good shop to trust with my baby?

thanks,

Jiggabelly

Not sure if this will help or not, but as a former Audio Karma forum member, THE Yammy guy was a guy named Echowars. I know of many folks that have had nothing but great things to say about his skills. I don't know how to get a hold of him any other way than through Audio Karma's website. He is in Kansas City by the way, so I don't know if you would be willing to send it that far away.

Send a personal message to audiogon member Ezekiel, who refurbishes all sort of ss gear... He did an incredible job with an old hk receiver from the late 70s.  His prices are also extremely reasonable.

The best part of it all...he is located in Tennessee..

I live in Atlanta and recently bookmarked this threat because it mentioned a couple of local repair options:
