Anonamemouse's answer is correct. now this is exactly the dilemma most of the serious music listeners are dealing with...talking about sound is one thing- but hearing is believing!
the best for you would probably be to audition the BDA-1 somewhere. the BDA is a superb performer!

Thank you for your help and guidance. You made me believer in BDA-1, much more than glorious reviews in reputable publications, which most certainly were well deserved.
