Due to retire in 4 months, I am moving to smaller quarters.  Unhappily, this means I will have to listen to my CD collection through Koss Stereophones or vintage Klipsch Heresy speakers.  My 1984 Tower IIs must go.  :(  However, the foam surrounds on the mid-range, lower mid-range and woofer are shot.  They will need to be replaced.  VMPS has economical replacement parts available.  The PR is okay but could use vitrification.

These were assembled and crossovers perfectly soldered from a kit by my finicky electrical engineer father, 30 years a draftsman and project engineer for Square D company (most fuse boxes and circuit breakers with the Square D logo supplied to builders and electrical outfits in the 60s, 70s and 80s were designed by my dad), and the cabinets/grilles are in great shape.  I took care of these beauties.
Cost?  Free to good home --you must pick up, located near Airport

Trekkerdude,

Congratulations on the retirement, I’m a bit jealous. I would be happy to give these speakers a good home. Actually, I would plan to rebuild them with any new drivers that were needed then give them to my daughter for her new house. She’s a first time home buyer along with her fiancé and can’t afford to put any money into a stereo at this time. Ideally the weekend would work best for me to pick them up, but I could also do weekday evenings. I live in Kenosha, so it’s only a short drive up.
