I've just unpacked my new Icon HDP and I'm having problems with the 3.5mm optical input. Using the supplied adapter I'm using Apple AirPlay to stream audio from my Mac using an Airport Express. I have another optical adapter on the Airport Express side. Nothing is connected to the electrical RCA SPDIF input.
The digital input is completely silent. I've tried restarting the HDP with and without the cable connected. I do hear a relay switching when inserting the 3.5mm jack. I have a Benchmark Media DAC1 and it has no problems locking-on to the SPDIF signal.
Any ideas?
