Preferred connection between iMac and Icon HDP

Preferred connection between iMac and Icon HDP

Hello!

I have recently purchased Icon HDP and connected it to iMac with the supplied USB cable. Now I wonder what would actually be preferred connection between the two?
1) Toslink (with optical mini adapters on both sides)?
2) USB cable?

For both I wonder how important is quality of this digital cable. Do you recommend some special edition (better quality) for any of those cables?

Do you think that replacing stock USB cable supplied with Icon HDP with something like WireWorld Ultraviolet (cca. 50 EUR for 1m) would make a difference in a sound? Or do you think that for a device in this price range as HDP, quality of an USB cable doesn't yet matter?

With HDP, replacing the stock USB cable with an Entreq USB cable caused a very noticeable improvement.
